With a heritage spanning more than a century, Blaker has grown from its early London roots into an established engineering specialist based in Billingshurst, near Horsham, West Sussex. Today, the Billingshurst site is home to Blaker Engineering, the Group’s service-led division, providing welding, fabrication, machining, HGV axle repairs, and heavy plant maintenance for a wide range of sectors. It remains the operational backbone of the business, supported by years of experience, expertise and a reputation for dependable lead times.

We’re proud to employ a skilled local workforce while actively supporting the next generation of engineers as they begin their careers. Engineering apprentices from Chichester College train alongside experienced fabricators, welders and machinists, backed by continued investment in modern tools, machinery and advanced design software.

Years of working closely with recycling plants led to the creation of BlakerTech in 2019, a division dedicated to specialist solutions for metal processing and recycling. In 2024, the Group expanded further with the acquisition of Solent Engineering, enhancing its capabilities in marine spares and high-quality fabrication products.

To support continued growth, Blaker Group Ltd was formally established in 2025, uniting all three divisions under a single parent brand and enabling further investment in office space, workshop upgrades and a purpose-built demonstration facility.

Today, Blaker Group continues to invest in British engineering, supporting customers across the UK and internationally with dependable, high-quality services, equipment and fabrication solutions designed to deliver consistent performance and long-term value.
